I've seen a few solutions for this:
You tin can attempt going to the Intel Graphics Control Panel and
turning off
"Conservative Morphological Anti-aliasing".
If that doesn't work, I suggest you install an older version of the graphics driver, i from the motherboard or figurer manufacturer's website, and NOT ane from Intel's website.
Are you familiar with doing either of these things?

angieinVA:
Open up Intel graphics control console (assuming it's enabled)
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005596/graphics-drivers.html
If you can't meet the control console, because it's disabled, hither's how to enable it:
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/back up/articles/000005637.html
I believe this will turn off Bourgeois Morphological AntiAliasing:
Get to your Intel Hard disk Graphics Setting (a.thousand.a Intel Hard disk Graphics Control Panel), select the '3D' menu, so under 'Bourgeois Morphological Anti-Aliasing' turn this characteristic off.

Slap-up. With a proper noun like Conservative Morphological Anti-aliasing, I don't how I could forget that setting. It just rolls right off the tongue.

Okay. Then next footstep is the above-install a driver Non from the Intel website. I prefer 1 from your figurer/motherboard maker's website. A slightly older ane is often less likely to cause this.

A teaching moment hither:
What you demand is the latest version of each driver that is:
one. suitable for your Os version
2. suitable for your Os bitness.
e.g. You're running Windows ten. Which bitness? To detect out,
Right Click "This PC" and click "Properties" Does it say 64-bit or 32-bit?
Now, just go to the HP website and observe the latest drivers (and only drivers) for chipset, Ethernet and/or Wifi, graphics that meet the above criteria.
Aw, geez, HP has made it more difficult than that. They've specified drivers by codename of processor type. Wasn't that lightheaded.
Each CPU (processor) is part of a serial designed a sure style. Bated from its model number, the CPU will too belong to a family of CPUs, referred to by a codename, such as "Skylake", "Coffee Lake" etc. Right Click on "This PC" and the model number of your CPU will be shown on that screen. What is your CPU model? With that info. we can move frontwards.
Oh, and it's a good thought to use a paint plan to obfuscate (hide or mistiness) any personally identifying info. when you post screenshots. That includes social media account names.

Yep, that volition work. That'due south a fast CPU you accept there.
A reliable website reference for looking up CPU info is CPU-Earth
I went to CPU-WORLD, entered your model number and got this every bit one search result:
http://www.cpu-globe.com/CPUs/Core_i5/Intel-Core%20i5%20i5-8250U.html
This shows your CPU as being in "Kaby Lake" family unit of processors.
Then, you will want to download and install the latest version of each driver for your version of Windows and bitness
(due east.g. Windows 10 x64) that does Non have the proper name Whiskey Lake in it. Because your processor is in the Kaby Lake family. I believe
Also on that cpu-world page was:
Integrated graphicsGPU Type: Intel UHD 620
Graphics tier: GT2
then if you look at the documentation for the graphics drivers, you should see this somewhere in it. You discover that by clicking the "Details" button in the row for each driver listed on HP's website. Details shows more than detailed info. nigh each file you can read to decide whether or non you want to download that file.
FYI:
Big manufactuers like Lenovo, Asus, HP usually accept an automated driver updater app. With the click of a button, those apps volition connect to HP'southward server, identify your verbal machine and model blazon, and select/download what it believes are the well-nigh correct, up-to-engagement drivers for your auto. IT tin can also install them, if you choose.
Why, you ask, would one non always use this newfangled, futuristic applied science? Because it doesn't always piece of work perfectly. Oftentimes, humans still do the task better. If you want to experiment with it afterwards, the preloaded HP software for this on your machine is called HP (arrangement) Update. For now, though, please just install drivers manually, and tell us exactly which ones you installed and when.
